Your satisfaction is our goal!
Mako Tours and Safaris is a company sollely focused on tourists. This is our core business. We simply cannot afford to have unsatisfied clients, so we do our absolute best to satisfy you.
Quality safari
We at Mako Safaris believe that the best commercial strategy is to have satisfied costumers. That is why we do not waste time with unefficient resource allocation. Each of our employees has his or her specialities and contacts and that is why some employees do one thing, while others do something totally different. We do not believe in everybody doing everything perfect.
Our cook will be preparing your meals and doing the shopping, and that is it.
Our driver will drive you to and on safari and spot animals for you. This is his speciality. We do not want our drivers to cook for you, as the result may not be very nice.
Allowing for this to happen, would also mean you will not have a snack ready when you come back from safari, which is not nice!! That is why everybody does his or her thing!
Does this mean we are not flexible? No, not at all. Because we employ so many people and friends, we have many people specializing in many things! So we can grant your every wish! And this is the African way of doing business. Trying to do it in a different way, wouldn't work in Tanzania and on top of that, our experience shows that our clients find this very relaxing!
Jeeps
We only use the best jeeps, as you can see below.

These jeeps are provided to us by an external company. This means that all jeeps are regularly checked and all repairs are made by skilled workers.
Because we use a company dedicated to supplying jeeps to safari companies, you can rest assured these jeeps are maintained very well and new jeeps are purchased on a regular basis instead of running every available mile in them (until they eventually fall apart).
We also try to use jeeps with opening roofs as shown above and below because this will be very comfortable when you are driving in the safari plains!! See above and below for pictures!
The picture on the right shows some people standing outside a jeep. This is only allowed on safe locations and in plains where no wild animals can be hiding in tall grass or vegetation!
