Who are we

We are a Tanzania based flexible family bussiness (check our names on the Contact page) focussing on quality safaris,holidays, marriage trips, tours and trips for good prices. Therefore we do not spend resources on advertising about cheap safaris in Tanzania, option-loaded safari ,jeeps (options you never use on a safari anyway) and big offices. We work from our local offices in Dar-Es-Salaam and Moshi. We have a lot of friends working for us, we maintain good contact with hotel receptionists and taxi drivers - the typical and charming African way of working. Because we work with so many people, there is a big chance you will meet us on the streets of Dar-Es-Salaam.
Should you meet someone who claims to be from Mako Tours and safaris, always ask company identification (business card) since there are a lot of maliscious companies who offer and sell safaris for very good prices, accept your money, make appointements with you for leaving on safari but then there is nobody at the agreed time and all of a sudden their office has moved and you can't find them (and your money) anymore...
As mentioned before, we work with an intensive network of representatives, hotel workers and taxi drivers so we are very confident we can help you with anything you need on your trip.

What do we do

We specialize in many things, all revolving around your holiday or vacation in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Not everybody in our company is specialist in everything of course, but each of our employees has his or her specialities.
Main area of focus is jeep safari, walking safari, mountain climbing, city tours, transportation, siteseeing and tourist information. Many of our business is presented on this website.
Please remember that we also do tailor made safaris. Just go to the contact page, let us know your wishes and desires and we will tell you what is humanly possible! At a human price of course!

Except from helping you with your safari desires or holiday wishes in Tanzania, we can also help you with a unique Tanzania experience: climbing mount Kilimanjaro. Mount Kilimanjaro is a great and beautiful mountain which you must have seen when you visit Tanzania (see our page on Mount Kilimanjaro). Of course this does not mean you have to climb mount Kilimanjaro all the way to the top. We can also arrange great excursions on the lower slopes of mount Kilimanjaro! Just contact us through the contact page and let us know your wishes. We will see what we can do and reply from Tanzania as soon as possible.
For requests involving mount Kilimanjaro, we work with the same intensive network of contacts and representatives as we use for our safari trips. That is why we are pretty confident we can meet your every need! AND our Moshi office is located right next to Mount Kilimanjaro (but still in Tanzania), so we have the perfect place to arrange everything like a tented camping, luxury accomodation, transportation, food, water, etc etc...
